The Journey to Zeenya’s New Releases: A Story of Setbacks and Triumph
First off, I just want to thank you all for your incredible patience and support, especially with the launch of our Summit Sleeve last week.
The journey to our new releases has been full of fabric disasters and hurdles. I will be honest - there have been a lot of tears, and at times I wanted to chuck it all in. But this community is amazing, and the support I have received has kept me going. I am grateful for Chloe who has gone over and above to help me get this sorted.
We ran into a major setback when Whakapapa arrived and we discovered it had been misprinted at 50% of its original size. I knew the community would be expecting the original Whakapapa print, not a smaller version, so I decided to have it reprinted at the correct size. This mean another four weeks of waiting, and having to absorb the cost of this too. Then, we had fabric shortages and waistband quality issues. It's been a ride.
I bet you're skimming through this thinking "just tell us when they'll be ready!".So, Irmazhina and two new prints are in production now. That's three! Whakapapa will be a little delayed, with one roll arriving this week, and another in a few weeks. The good news? I’ve ordered enough fabric for both the core and sport ranges, and to get products to you sooner, we’ll be doing mini-launches as products are completed. This means there is no print FOMO across the core and sport ranges. We are so close.
Lastly, I’ve got one roll of the "too small" Whakapapa fabric that we need to use up. If anyone has creative ideas for it, let me know!
Thank you again for your continued support. It truly means the world as we get these new prints ready for you.
I would love it if you used the small whakapapa for some XS leggings or shorts then I could get those for my daughter and the regular print for myself. We don’t yet have a ‘matching’ set.
Saddened to hear you have had a number of set backs. Take care and be kind to yourself. It will sort itself out. I believe the smaller whakapapa print is just as lovely as the original. It could be made up in any pattern. A skirt with the green in the print as the shorts would look fab. Alone as shorts would be great too. These are my main picks though I suspect any clothing item would work. Have fun making a choice.
I would be keen to see a release of the range n the smaller print of Whakapapa too👍
I second the idea of using it for splashbacks, and would also be happy to buy shorts or leggings in the smaller print :) Keep positive, there’s always a solution!!
The small print would be amazing as a range for our junior zeenya addicts..my 8 year old granddaughter would love them as shorts and skirt
